General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for rentals via the booking portal or the website

1. scope of application
These GTC govern the contractual relationship between the landlord (hereinafter "Host") and the tenant (hereinafter "Guest") in the context of a booking via the booking portal or the website for accommodation at Schnydershome.ch - Schnyder AG, Citymarkt 

2. booking and conclusion of contract
A binding accommodation contract is concluded upon booking via the booking portal or the website. The booking becomes legally binding when the host confirms the booking or sends an automatic confirmation.

3. terms of payment
Payment shall be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the booking portal or website. The full amount must be paid via the platform in accordance with the payment modalities specified there. 

4. arrival and departure

  • Check-in: from 15.00 hrs

  • Check-out: until 11.00 am

5. use of the accommodation
The accommodation may only be used for private purposes. Smoking is not permitted. Pets are only permitted by prior arrangement. Parties and events are prohibited without prior consent. The house rules must be observed.

6. liability
The guest is liable for all damage caused by him or his fellow travelers. The host is not liable for the loss of or damage to the guest's personal belongings.

7. withdrawal and cancellation
Cancellation free of charge is possible up to 5 days before the check-in date (15:00 local time).
In the event of cancellation within 5 days of arrival, 50% of the total amount will be charged.
In the event of a no-show or cancellation on the day of arrival, the full booking amount will be charged.

8. force majeure
In the event of force majeure (e.g. natural disasters, pandemics, official orders), both parties reserve the right to withdraw from the contract. In this case, any payments already made will be refunded on a pro rata basis.

9. data protection
Personal data will be processed exclusively for the purpose of processing the booking and will not be passed on to third parties - with the exception of data required for the booking portal or the website.

10. final provisions
Should individual provisions of these GTC be invalid in whole or in part, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The law of the country in which the accommodation is located shall apply. The place of jurisdiction is the domicile of the host, insofar as legally permissible.
